Belu Hong Kong wins food made good, supplier of the year award

Lockdown, it wasn’t all bad for Belu. During 2020 when we were in semi-lockdown in the UK, an email came in from The Upper House, one of the best hotels in Hong Kong enquiring about Belu Filter In Action for their new restaurant. We didn’t work in Hong Kong at the time, but when a Swire Group Hotel shows interest, you sit up and take notice.

Fast forward to 2021 and Belu launches in a new country territory for the first time with Belu Filter In Action Hong Kong.

We will never ship single use product overseas but the filtration model works brilliantly for other country territories with venues serving still and sparkling filtered water on tap.

This week we were awarded Supplier of the Year at the Food Made Good Hong Kong Awards, and we are over the moon to be recognised for our sustainability credentials and inspiring others to do business differently in Hong Kong at a time when protecting the planet and people has never been so important. It’s a shame we couldn’t physically be there due to travel restrictions, however Yannick from our local sales and engineer partner Metabev was on hand to collect the award, pictured here with Nick Heath, Director General for Trade and Investment British Consulate- General.

Belu is nothing without our customers, partners and advocates, and it’s thanks to them that we have achieved more than we’d hoped for in our first 10 months of trading in Hong Kong, and all through setting up the business remotely from here in the UK.

As in the UK, we’re proud to be served in some of the best places by fabulous people who believe in our values and doing things differently.

We’re proud to announce our partnership with METABEV HONG KONG, who will be our local representative in HK providing a great experience for our customers from first enquiry through to installation and servicing of the filtration systems. Special mention also to Heidi and the team at Food Made Good – Hong Kong, it’s been great to grow our Food Made Good membership in another country, our Accountants Fresh Accounting, Shelene Wong at BRITA HK, and Arthur Yu and team at the Department for International Trade (DIT) in helping us operate and raise awareness.
