Belu Water Stories – Lime Wood Hotel & Spa
When Lime Wood Hotel, a long-term partner of Belu, approached us wanting to removing our single-use plastic water bottles from their Herb House Spa for environmental reasons, we worked with them on an improved sustainable water solution.
Belu Filtration Systems are now installed across the spa for members to help themselves to chilled, filtered water. This is complimented with a Herb House branded Belu Refillable, for each spa member and visitor to the spa to fill up on water when they need to.
This has meant a saving of 106,680 single use plastic bottles a year.
Choosing Belu Filter and Refillables has meant that Herb House Spa can continue to make a social impact with their water service – with 2,110 lives transformed with clean water in poor countries worldwide through our partnership with WaterAid.
That’s nearly four lives transformed for each Herb House Spa member – a great Belu water story.
‘It has been a delight to work with Karen and her team at Belu. From our first initial discussions to completion of the project everyone has been informative, helpful and a pleasure to work with. With our joint aim to bring down the use of single plastics throughout the spa and hotel, whilst helping to change hundreds of lives worldwide with clean water we feel humbled and privileged to have been a part of this transformation not just for the present but for years ahead too. The process all began late last year following the eye opening Blue Planet series and with many of our members wanting this change too we have found that they have all supported the water installations and are loving their Belu refillables’
