Jen: MY FIRST 3 MONTHS AS CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP LEAD

After 2 years of working as a Communications Manager for a local authority supporting communities through Covid and the cost of living crisis, I knew my next role would need to be in another purpose led organisation. With Belu purpose really is at the heart of everything we do and we want to make sure that we’re best in class in terms of sustainability as well as proving that business can be done better. As a social enterprise we invest 100% of our profits into sustainability projects and our 10-year partnership with WaterAid. 

Our mission is clear, to change the way the world sees water,  and even after two months at Belu I know that every staff member is fully committed to delivering this. We are in a period of growth and change at Belu, having gone from 7 people to 22 in 18 months it’s really encouraging to know that we’re all working towards the same goal. 

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been hosting training sessions with some of our customers to help them upsell water and explain more about what we do. Although it’s been a bit nerve wracking after years of Microsoft Teams sessions to step out from behind the laptop, I’ve loved every second of talking to people in hospitality about Belu and the amazing work we do.
