Belu natural mineral water is drawn directly from our dedicated source within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the hills of mid-Wales, infused with essential minerals by its passage through ancient volcanic rock formations, providing a pure, crisp taste. Every drop is tested to ensure it meets high industry standards.
But it’s not just our water that’s pure. We source, bottle and distribute our mineral water solely within the UK to minimise our carbon footprint.
Our British mineral water is in bottles made in the UK, from lightweight clear glass using a minimum of 40% recycled content. Our bottles are 100% recyclable.
Why is it ethical? Traditional glass bottles are heavy, meaning that they have a higher than necessary carbon footprint. By using lighter bottles in our 330ml and 750ml ranges, we can use fewer raw materials and generate fewer emissions in transporting our products. We work with our partner Encirc to make the greenest clear bottles found in the UK.
Still and sparkling natural mineral water in 330ml, 500ml, 750ml and 1 Litre UK-made glass.
Our lightweight, crushable plastic bottles are made 100% from recycled material and are 100% recyclable. We stand firmly behind the concepts of a closed-loop system and the circular economy.
Why not cans or cartons?
Aluminium cans, while widely recyclable, have a higher carbon footprint up to three times that of recycled plastic (based on a recycled content of 68% found in a typical UK can).
Cardboard cartons are typically made of a mixture of materials, including plastic, and are not collected by all councils in the UK. Only 37% of all cartons sold in the UK are recycled here due to inconsistent collection. They can only be processed in the UK at a dedicated carton recycling plant.
When the answer to your anti-plastics challenge is in fact, plastic.
