DEARBORN

RESTAURANT

THE STORY

DEARBORN is the culinary vision of Chef Christopher Kong, whose journey spans Michelin-starred kitchens in Singapore and New York.

The Breakfast Club is led husband and wife team Chris and Kristy at New Bahru, in River Valley  Singapore.

THEIR IMPACT

Sustainability and traceability are core to DEARBORN, and they were our first partner in Singapore choosing Belu as part of their environmental responsibility and because they wanted to help do some good with their water service. Guests are served Belu Filtered water free of charge at every table.

DEARBORN reimagines breakfast as a refined, technique-driven culinary experience, challenging the notion that it’s a routine meal. Influenced by Kong’s diverse culinary background, DEARBORN blends finesse with storytelling through food.

Starting as a private supper club, DEARBORN has grown into a brand that values artisanal production and building a loyal following.

WHY BELU?

“We’re proud to be the Founding Member of the Belu Collective in Singapore. Partnering with Belu aligns with our commitment to sustainability — delivering premium filtered water, reducing waste, and saving space.

At DEARBORN, sustainability is a core part of how we run the business. Belu enables us to serve great-tasting water without single-use packaging, while supporting global change through WaterAid.”

DIRTY SUPPER

HOSPITALITY

THE STORY

Tucked away in the heritage neighbourhood of Moh Guan Terrace, Dirty Supper finds it’s home within the iconic Hua Bee Restaurant. This dual-concept space transforms from a 90-year-old noodle house in the day to a grungy and vibrant restaurant in the evenings that champions the art of grilling and whole animal cooking.

Dirty Supper offers an ever-changing menu of small and large plates, elevated by their very own savoury cocktails at Dirty Sips. All these are created with Chef-Owner Peter Smit’s signature style of ingredient pairings that never ceases to amaze.

THE IMPACT

At our restaurant, sustainability guides everything we do, from local sourcing to a nose to tail approach that reduces waste. We even repurpose kitchen trimmings and food offcuts for our bar, making sure every part of an ingredient is used. Partnering with Belu fits this ethos. Their focus on reducing carbon, cutting single use plastics, and supporting clean water projects aligns with our low impact goals. Their filtration system allows us to serve water ethically and without waste.

We needed a water partner who cared as much about the planet as we do. Belu helped us align our front-of-house service with our kitchen values, sustainable and ethical.

WHY BELU?

“Belu shares our belief that doing good and doing business can go hand in hand. It’s not just water, it’s part of our impact story.”
