Machines with taps User Guide
If you have questions about your Belu filtration machine or you need some troubleshooting tips, here is a set of guides covering all the most commonly asked questions. Hopefully you will swiftly be able to find what you need, but if not, please email [email protected] for further help.
IF SPARKLING IS FLAT...
Check if your CO2 gas bottle is empty and if so, replace.
4) Before connecting the CO2 gauge/pipe to the new cylinder, please ensure that the seal washer is in place.
Please ensure that the seal washer is in place.
Check connection of gas bottle is correct – 3 to 4 bar:

IF WATER IS NOT CHILLED...
Check the power to the machine is plugged in and switched on.
If that is not the problem, contact [email protected]
IF WATER IS LEAKING...
Isolate the machine from your water supply & contact [email protected]
IF FLOW OF WATER IS SLOW...
Check that nothing new has been connected to the same water supply as the filtration system (perhaps a glasswasher, sink or coffee machine). This will slow the flow.
Ensure you are only using 1 tap at a time.
IF CO2 GAS IS LEAKING...
Disconnect the CO2 and reconnect it:
1) Shut off the valve by turning the knob on top of the bottle clockwise.
Please ensure that the seal washer is in place.
4) Fit gauge/pipe to new cylinder, then tighten the nut using a spanner.
* If washer is missing, please email [email protected] for a replacement

IF THERE IS NO WATER FLOWING...
Check power to machine is plugged in – and switched on.
If that doesn’t work, reset the water block:
- Turn the power to the system off at the plug.
- Open the still water tap as if you were going to dispense water and leave it open.
- Press the red button all the way down (it may be stiff, but must be pushed all the way).
- Locate your water block (pictured) which will be on the mains water pipe connected to your Belu Filtration System.
- Release the button.
- Turn power back on and test the system.

IF YOUR MACHINE IS SPLUTTERING OR ONLY CO2 GAS IS DISPENSING...
If your CO2 gas bottle is not empty and is connected correctly, try purging the system:
1) Turn the power to the system off at the plug.
2) Open the sparkling water tap as if you were going to dispense water and leave it open.
3) If there is CO2 gas only coming out and no water, leave for approx 1 minute and then close tap (this should clear the system).
4) If there is flat water dispensing, leave the tap running until the water stops and gas starts emitting from the tap (this may mean you have to dispense up to 2 litres of water before the gas comes through).
5) If the gas does not begin to emit, the gas bottle is probably empty and will need changing (see guide S9).
6) Close tap, turn power back on and test.

IF YOUR WATER TASTES ODD...
First check that your CO2 gas bottle is not empty, the pressure gauge is reading between 3-4 bar, and everything is properly connected.
If that is all ok, try purging the system:
- Shut off the CO2 gas feed by turning the knob on top of the bottle clockwise (see pic 1).
- Turn water off with white/blue isolator tap.
- Press ‘sparkling’ and dispense until no water or gas comes out.
- Turn the machine off at the plug.
- Turn the CO2 gas back on, using the valve and set the pressure between 3-4 bar (you can adjust this by using a screwdriver to adjust the knob on the front of the gauge – see pics 2 & 3).
- Turn the water back on and then turn the machine back on.
- Run approximately 2 continuous litres of sparkling water.

IF YOUR FONT/TAPS ARE LOOSE...
Tighten the nut below the counter. This can be done by hand.

CLEANING & HANDLING REFILLABLE BOTTLES & STORING FILTERED WATER...
Handling Belu Filter bottles:
- Belu filter bottles are designed to be filled with Belu filtered sparkling, chilled or unchilled still water only. Never hot water.
- Bottles should not be handled by children.
- New bottles should be thoroughly cleaned before use, by hand or in a dishwasher with bottles placed upside down in bottle washing tray. Bottles should be regularly examined before filling. If bottle shows any damages (e.g. scratches, cracks, chips, leakage of the cap or long-lasting odour), dispose of it.
- Before filling your clean bottles, ensure your hands, your filter machine and the surrounding area is clean.
- Fill only up to the pre-defined volume level, do not overfill. Close cap straight after filling.
- Once bottles are freshly filled with filtered water, they should be stored in a clean, cool place, out of sunlight (preferably a refrigerator) and consumed within one day.
- Remember that bottles filled with both sparkling and still water are under pressure and shouldn’t be subjected to high temperatures of more than 35 deg C due to the risk of breakage.
- Do not microwave or freeze bottles. Full bottles should not be washed under a hot tap.
- Use dedicated storage crates and dishwasher racks for both full and empty bottles to reduce the risk of damage. Store empty bottles upright and open in a cool, dry, clean space. Store filled bottles in an upright position.
Cleaning Belu Filter bottles:
- Clean bottles after each use by hand or in a dishwasher. Place bottles open and upside down in the dishwasher rack and do not wash other items (like plates or cutlery) at the same time.
- In a professional dishwasher: 60-65°C for at least 90 seconds.
- In a domestic dishwasher: 60-65°C for at least 30 minutes.
- Always use clean water for washing caps and lids as otherwise they may discolour.
After cleaning, keep bottles in the rack, outside the dishwasher for cooling and drying. Do not close the cap on empty bottles (even when cool and dry). Always wait until bottles are clean and dry before refilling.
- For swing stoppers: leave caps attached to bottles during cleaning process and do not close them.
HOW TO SAFELY REFILL YOUR BELU FILTER BOTTLES.
DAILY CLEANING TIPS FOR FILTRATION MACHINES.
Clean dispensing taps, drip tray and all other touchable surfaces with antibacterial wipes or a non-abrasive cloth and disinfectant spray.
Clean glasses and bottles thoroughly before use.
Try not to touch the dispensing nozzle with your hands or the bottle to avoid any cross contamination and to ensure the nozzle stays clean.
NOTE: The chiller unit should be kept free of dust and the vents should not be obstructed so that air flows freely.
